8 days Hokkaido/Tokyo Trip
Day 1
with my family and neighbours, we took a night flight (JAL) from Singapore to Japan...
we have reached Japan International Airport (Narita) the next morning...
Day 2
after that, we proceed to Chitose Airport to take a domestic flight to Hokkaido...
japanese kids...so cute~~
while we were waiting to board the flight, we get some ramen from the food court...
while waiting for the bus to come over...
after reaching hokkaido, we had our lunch. rare sashimi, crabmeat dumpling and seafood soup...
some spectacular scenery in hokkaido...
we passed by piles of black snow...
why issit black?
it is because of the exhaust gas from the vehicles...
Ishiya (White Lover Chocolate Museum) 白色恋人
these are the cups used by the royals for high-tea...
we visited the chocolate factory and saw the making processes of 白色恋人 biscuits...

Naebo Yukijirushi (dairy products) Factory 雪印乳品厂
this lady explained the process of making cheese, butter, milk from the olden methods to the advanced methods used 2day...
we even saw the real thing on how the ppl make milk...from killing the bac to cooking the milk to packaging to packin them into cartons...
we get to try the milk and ice cream which taste like soya milk without adding sugar...
Sapporo Asahi Beer Factory

we watched a vid on beer making in chinese (direct translation from japanese)...then we proceed to beer testing...juz return an empty cup to this lady, she will give u another cup of beer...drink til u KO...

ramen is classified into 3 taste: Miso, Salt and Dark Soya sauce...

"i cook the ramen", said the chef...
i ordered ramen with corn and miso soup base...
let's start to eat...the louder you eat, the nicer the ramen is, the happier the chef will be...

its a wooden building built in 1878 as a drill house for Sapporo Agriculture College...

after that we went to the 100 yen shop (Daiso)...exchange rate: 100 yen = $1.40
shabu shabu (洗刷刷火锅) as dinner...
additional kobe beef if u wan...but we didnt try it as we cannot eat beef...

Day 3
in the morning, we went to a park near our hotel...

there are a few of these coffee houses...there are named as 一号店, 二号店, 三号店...
1st choose the cup u wan...
then i get to enjoy a cup of Japanese Sumiyaki Coffee and i can bring back the hello kitty cup...heehee... =)

mum is eating corn while im eating the 5 flavours ice cream...lavender, vanilla, melon, strawberry and choc...when im eating melon it tastes sweet, choc will b abit of sweet n bitter while strawberry is sour...very nice ice cream...its a muz try if u are goin hokkaido - otaru...

Day 4
Bear Ranch
look at those black bears..they are brilliant animals...they'll beg and 恭喜you if they wan food fr u...then u can throw apples at them..they'll catch it with their mouths...
this bear is very gd at catchin the apple...look at the mouth, there is an apple in it...
ROAR!!this bear is fierce..dun provoke it...BEWARE!!
Mt Showa 昭和新山
its an active voclano...its named 新山becoz its a new mountain that have not be erupted since many years ago...

Japan's 1st Western style stronghold to prevent attack from other countries..its a pentagon with pointed edges...

Day 5
in the morning, my dad walked ard and came across this pri sch named da sheng xiao xue xiao...
at the beach..
at hakodate royal hotel with the staff..
after tt, we went to the seafood market...
look at the price on the menu...its ex to have a meal in japan..it costs ard $10 plus juz for a meal..

this is a kind of fish with two colors, now u can c tt this side is black..when u flip the fish over, it'll b white...

Shiraoi Ainu Village 爱奴村落
Shiraoi Ainu is a minority race in Hokkaido...in here, we get to experience historical and traditional Ainu lifestyle...
visited the house in the village..on the ceiling steamed fishes are hung there...

fur of animals as scarf and coats...we shld not buy all this...as we need to protect the animals from dyin n extinction..

Hell Valley
next we proceed to Noboribetsu Hotspring to visit the sulphurous boiling hot spring called "Jigoku" which is hell valley...
the mountain is giving off hot steam...which seems like its breathing..
when i was there, there was a pungent smell..i felt that i was in the sci lab doin experiment with the chemicals..

tt night, we spent a night at a hotel slping on tatami (japanese style of slping on the floor with a mat)..
aft tt we changed into their traditional costumes...
we went down to the restaurant in traditional costumes..
"hi, we are japanese.."

the auntie in pink felt too hot, thus she took out the traditional costumes..aiyo..spoilt the pic..
Day 6
have our lunch in a shopping centre...
pourin the egg into the steamboat...
walkin ard the shoppin mall aft lunch...there is a shop selling reptiles and four-legged creatures...
walking over to the shoppin mall selling burberry blue label...onli available in japan...
there is a showroom in the shopping mall..

Peace Park 平和公园
by rite, we can enjoy the panoramic view of mt fuji but the clouds covered it..unfortunately, we could not get to c the real mt fuji...we can onli look at the photo...

we went back to the hotel n rest b4 having dinner...
this lady will refill rice for u when u put an empty bowl on the tray...

Day 7
we went to tokyo...my mum with the air stewardess..i tink she is quite pretty...
aft tt we proceed to disneyland...the wind was big n the kept on raining heavily...
we took the jungle cruise to look at those fake animals tt look soo real..
aft taking some free rides...we can onli stay indoor as its raining...we had fun takin photos with the cartoon characters...there are peter pan, goofy, winnie the pooh, chip n dale and etc...
we went to tcc cafe for lunch..i ordered spaghetti..

Day 8
last day morning, we walked nearby the hotel..the roadsides are full of sakura..
we went to an ah ma hse to take pic with her...
ground full of fallen flowers...
aft tt was free and ez..we went to a nearby shoppin mall...we had lunch at the food court...1st we had to order n made payment via a machine...then give the receipt to the person for preparation of food...u'll b given a timer...when ur order is ready..the timer will vibrate...by then u can get the food from the store...

we went back to singapore aft tt...
lastly, there are 3 least in japan...
1. least number of polices = security of japan is gd...
2. least number of kids wearing specs = they eat raw fishes that are high in omega and DHA...
3. least number of rubbish bins = coz of terrorism...
